PA 66

APTA works with Radici's polyamide 66 lines, which have various specifications and can be adapted to meet customer needs.

In 1935, chemist W.H. Carothers, researching polymers to replace silk in the textile industry, discovered the polymer PA 66, which he named Nylon.

Poly(hexamethylene adipamide), or polyamide 66, is one of the best-known and most widely used engineering polymers in the world. The material exhibits properties such as high mechanical, chemical, and thermal resistance, good tensile strength, good fiber compatibility, and high elongation.

Among its main applications are: automotive parts, household utensils, prostheses, medical equipment, textile fibers, sockets, circuit breakers, and connectors.
