The raffia extrusion process utilizes PP and HDPE, with polypropylene being used in 90% of cases. The extrusion of these raw materials results in ribbons that are rolled onto reels to feed circular or flat looms.

Polypropylene is a material that absorbs little moisture and is very impact-resistant, giving raffia excellent characteristics. Furthermore, PP raffia guarantees excellent print quality.

Being a single material, it offers good recyclability and a lower environmental impact in its uses.

The main applications of raffia are industrial sacks, big bags, tarpaulin fabrics, ropes, and filaments. Raffia is resistant and supports large volumes, making it an excellent option for a range of markets, such as grains, bran, food, petrochemicals, construction, and others.
