TPE

TPEs are families of thermoplastic elastomers, also known as thermoplastic rubbers.

Thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) are families of thermoplastic elastomers, also known as thermoplastic rubbers.

These materials contain both rigid and flexible segments of thermoplastic resins in their structure, and can be divided into 3 main families: olefinic, styrenic, or engineering-based.

Compared to rubbers, these materials have the advantage of being easy to process, as they can be easily molded by extrusion, injection, thermoforming, and blow molding processes, requiring less energy than vulcanized rubbers.

APTA works with the HERAFLEX E® line, Radici's engineering-based TPE, which has a wide range of hardness and property classifications. For more information, please contact us.
